Privacy Policy: Photos, Videos and Your Data
Last updated 2026-10-18
This policy explains what MemeVid (memevid.ai) collects, why, who processes it and how long we keep it. MemeVid is operated by Oriendium, San Jose, California, USA, which is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@memevid.ai.
What we collect and why
- Account: when you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name and Google account ID. We use them to keep your credits and videos in one place and to answer support requests.
- Photos you upload: resized in your browser before upload (this also removes location and camera data). We use them only to run the safety check and to make the video you asked for. They are deleted after 24 hours, or straight away if the check refuses them.
- Videos we make for you: stored privately for 30 days so you can download them, then deleted. They are never public, never shown as examples and never used to train AI models.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive the amount, currency, country, the email used and a payment reference, never your full card number.
- Usage: pages visited and how you found us (for example a search engine, a social post or ChatGPT), through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and a first-visit record kept in your browser that is sent along with a purchase. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland Google Analytics runs without cookies and Clarity is not loaded.
- Security logs: IP address, browser and request times, kept briefly by our host to stop abuse.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores your photos and videos.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon Rekognition) checks each uploaded photo before you pay: whether it shows a celebrity, whether a face looks under 18, and whether it contains explicit or violent content. We keep only the yes/no outcome, never face measurements or face templates.
- fal.ai runs the AI video model. Your photo and our prompt for the effect are sent to it only for your job.
- Stripe processes payments and acts as the reseller that collects any sales tax or VAT.
- Google provides sign-in and Google Analytics; Microsoft provides Clarity.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Some of these providers process data in the United States.
How long we keep it
Photos: 24 hours. Videos: 30 days. Account and credit history: while your account is open, then deleted on request. Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually seven years).
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, for corrections, or for deletion of your account and videos at any time by emailing support@memevid.ai from the address you signed in with. We answer within 30 days. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your data to provide the service you asked for (contract), to keep payment records (legal obligation) and for analytics and security (legitimate interests); you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies only where the law allows them without consent. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Children
The service is not for anyone under 18, and photos of minors are refused by the safety check.
Changes
If we change this policy, the date above changes.
