Terms of Service: Credits, Payments and Fair Use

These terms apply when you use MemeVid at memevid.ai, which is operated by Oriendium, San Jose, California, USA (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or buying credits you agree to them.

What we provide

We turn a photo you upload into a short AI-generated video in the style of a popular meme, using third-party AI models and prompts we write for each effect. Results vary with the photo and the model; we cannot promise a particular look. We take photos only: we do not edit existing videos, and we do not offer face swaps of celebrities or anyone else.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old. You need an account (Google sign-in) to buy credits and make videos. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person, one account.

Credits and payment

  • Credits are bought in one-time packs. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
  • There are no free credits and no free trial. Each video uses the credits shown on the effect before you start, and you pay before a video is made.
  • If a video fails, times out or is blocked by our safety checks, its credits are returned automatically.
  • Credits do not expire while the service runs. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or resold.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the reseller (checkout shows “Sold through Link”) and adds any sales tax or VAT due where you live; the charge appears on your statement under the name shown at checkout. Refunds follow our refund policy.
  • Because videos are digital content made on request, you agree that we start making a video right away and that, once it is delivered, the credits used for it are not refundable.

Your photos and your rights

You may upload only photos of yourself, or of adults who gave you permission. Every photo is checked by an automated safety service (Amazon Rekognition) before you pay; photos of celebrities, public figures or anyone who looks under 18, and explicit or violent images, are refused. You keep the rights you have in your photos and in the videos made from them, and you give us the permission needed to process them for you. Our content policy lists what is not allowed; breaking it can close your account without refund of used credits.

Privacy of results

Your videos are private to your account: we do not publish them, use them as examples or use them to train models. Uploaded photos are deleted after 24 hours. Finished videos are kept for 30 days so you can download them, then deleted. Keep your own copy.

Using your videos

You may share the videos you make, but they are AI-generated: do not present them as real footage, and do not use them to deceive, harass or impersonate anyone. You are responsible for how you use them.

Limits

To keep the service available we limit each account to 10 videos and a fixed number of photo uploads a day, and may pause new videos when the day’s capacity is used up. No payment is taken while paused.

Ending your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time; unused credits can be refunded under the refund policy. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the content policy, or that try to get around the safety checks or limits.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection or right to bring a claim that applies where you live.
